power steering having issues
ok so i have a '94 prelude with a h22a vtec and the power steering pump went out yesterday so i went and got a new rebuilt one from my shop and swapped it out. after all of that i find out today that there is air in the system, I took it in to the shop today and they fixed that problem. but now the steering doesn't feel like its acctualy getting any more than 25% power. It's like driving it with just non-power steering. Any Thoughts?
No whinning noise from the pulley or belt?
Hold a stethoscope up to the pump and listen. If you hear any grinds or clunking the pump insn't good.
Did you change the power steering fluid?
Maybe the valve comming off the pump isn't opening all the way??..
Its a hydraulic valve right by the pump inline with the ps lines.
