save yourself the headache and worry of cutting the stock x-member, just buy an aftermarket one.-traction bar. this header has some size to it. also, hope you arent sitting on the ground, this header hangs a lil low.

yea, im pretty low, but i've never scraped anything. we'll see.

i ordered an Explicit Speed traction bar, but they take two weeks to make/send. And subliminal sent my header today so i'll probably have it before the end of the week. I'd just like to put it on before i get that traction bar. do you have pics of it in your car?

they were added and that header is one of the first hytech copies sold. it sits damn low, if you found those pics, there should be some of under the front of the car to see how low it sits.

the o2s were added and the car runs like a top, hated to do that to the header, but oh well. car is still obd0 for now.

any questions just ask.

How far back does that header bolt up? Is it past the cat or will a test pipe work?
PS...thanks for the quote, your car is looking great

That 02 placement location makes no sense whatsoever.

Why in gods name would you only want to measure 2 runners, when you can measure all 4?
But hey, it's only fuel I guess.

SiRed just puts his opinion up. and that header does make minimal power. theres a reason an smsp costs $1200 and this costs $350..... And it does seem REALLY REALLY GAY how they push the "uberjdmstylezmulticoloredeffect after it warms up brah!!!" factor so hard in those threads. IMO if you want cheap, get a DC. If you want power, get out the wallet.

I might be mistaken but I thought the factory cast b-series manifold for OBD0 has the oxygen sensors in the runners and or where 2 merge and not in the collector. And again, I might be wrong but doesn't the ECU deal with the cylinders in "banks" of 2?

I dunno though. I was reading this thread and it seemed like "decent" placement of the o2 sensors.

agreed.. I try and steer away from things that have "style" or "replica" in their descriptions

Yes, placement where 2 runners merge would be the best place, on a dual 02 setup.

And you're correct. The EDU reads the sensors in alternating turns. But it doesn't know when it's reading which cylinder.
It alternates between the inner and outer banks. 1+4, 2+3. So you should connect the sensors accordingly.

If you only hook them up in in runners 1 and 3, it won't ever get the right reading for exhaust strokes on 2 and 4.

On this header in particular, they should have inserted the 02's where it merges from 4, into 2. There is more than enough room down there. So it's sloppy engineering.

this header is dyno and race proven. it out performs the DC Sports for the same price. I'm getting this header to hold me over until my other swap is done....which probably wont be until next year.

just because they put up a dyno sheet doesn't mean its the best header for the buck. and the dc actually hugs the pan instead of hanging off like a pair of bull *********. but, its your money. enjoy.
