It's 4040. Where's tyson on this one? And Chris...why didn't you just call us?
The calipers themselves are not overkill, but I believe you mc/booster is. You're going to loose some brake pedal modulation/feel with that 1". I suggest sticking with a 15/16 (I along with all other EF track buddies run this). A buddy here in the bay used to run the 1" on track and he preferred the 15/16.

^^^^^^ I can vouch for him, got mine from Tyson. He sells them for about $45 shipped. I would also go with the 15/16 MC.

Hey dude, lol I never thought about calling, just threw a thread up here. I probaly should stick with the 15/16 but I already have the ITR mc/booster so ill try that and see how it is

Dude you are gonna be displacing allot of fluid to those spoon 4 pots. Considerably more than me I suppose, with my Accord Wagon Calipers. 1" ftw. I rock the 1", and I love it, it modulates just fine. I know allot of the H1 guys use 1" with big brakes too. Kevin Helms on the other hand runs my same setup, but with 15/16s so there is merit to Nick's response, but it is a preference thing. I can modulate my 1"/290V setup just fine. I would recommend it to anyone. I like a rather firm pedal. Also are you shaving your brake lines? If so go with a EK prop valve from a non ABS car, they fit better inside, and make routing the lines cleaner and easier.

I agree with your comment on preference, but remember those H1 cars carry a bit more weight...especially if they're running a K20 and their weight requirements are higher.
My personal preference of 15/16 stems from the fact I heel-toe when on track (of course)...if my brake pedal was a bit to firm, my heel-toe-ing would not be as smooth.
If you've already got the mc/booster I say rock it Chris. If you ever track your car and don't like it, switch it up.
Or you may love it
