reverse lights
A friend of mine told me the other day that when i go in reverse that my reverse lights dont come on anymore. i check the bulbs and they are fine. i know a little about the reverse switch on the tranny. but not enough to fix it. could any help me out with what i need to check? if possible please provide pics. and i did search already.
Im not sure if the switch is controlled by ground or power its been a while. But check with a voltmeter if your getting power with the ignition on, on one of the two bullet connector. Im almost 100% sure is a power switch someone might be able to shead some light.
I had to rewire an old 80s Accord with no backup lights, the center console shifter PRNDL switch gave power but none went back to the light sockets, so I just spliced into the PRNDL harness and ran a whole wire back to the trunk and spliced into the proper wire back there and called it good for the Japanese safety inspection.

Then your reverse switch is on the transmission, start a new thread, this one is too old to get someone to give you a maintenance diagram from a repair manual on how to test your reverse switch, I bet its bad.
