Default Reverse lights just magically stopped working

Okay, I'm leaning towards a short or a bad reverse switch but wanted to get a quick brainstorm going before I tear into it.

I JUST noticed two nights ago my reverse lights aren't working. I have aftermarket tails lights with LED tail and brake lights but regular Sylvania reverse bulbs.

I have already checked fuses and connections at the bulbs and at the reverse sensor on the trans.

My next steps will be to check for continuity at the bulb socket and to try a second reverse light sensor that I have. Outside of that I'm thinking I'm gonna have to check the wiring for a short. Is there an obvious possibility that I'm missing or am I on the right track?

well just checkig for continuity does not tell you if you have a power source or if the lights drop out with a load applied to lights. if you have power probe start at switch on trans apply power source and see if the light up, if not work your way in direction of a power source till you do and find the issue

It was the reverse switch. Swapped it for a spare known good one and it's money. Good to have a ton of random parts at your disposal LOL.

Thanks for the replies.

I agree, I have all sorts of random parts for my 94RS and it is 50% off at PicknPull this weekend and two "new" Integras at the yard that I have not pulled from yet, one of the things I do not have yet is a reverse light switch, among other things. 94
