Default what direction does the drivetrain spin.... inbetween the tranny and differential?

Hi guys.... I really would like to know what direction the intermediate shaft spins(i believe its called that but my mind is hazzy right now)

the long metal shaft that goes from the tranny to the differential... does that spin clockwise or counterclockwise..... im not asking what direction the engine spins... just what direction that shaft spins...

i would greatly appreciate it if one of you s2k owners checks under your car while someone slowly moves your car.

im 99% sure it spins the direction your belts spin, and in that case, would be clockwise.

All RWD vehicles rotate the driveshaft in the same direction as the engine's rotation: Clockwise looking from the front to the rear. (or counter-clockwise look directly at the tailshaft)

...for what reason do you ask this question?

that cant bhge a true statement due to gears in the trans and how the trans itself is laid out. i doubt that they are all the same.

How many RWD vehicles can you list that don't make that a true statement? Due to the nature of how a RWD transmission is arranged, I'd be stunned to hear of anything that makes my statement false.

Are you certified in manual transmissions? I happen to be a fully certified Master Technician, and as long as the engine is located in the front of the vehicle with the transmission directly behind it and a rear axle/differential assembly behind that...the tailshaft of that transmission will rotate the driveshaft in the same direction that the engine rotates.

Perhaps there's an exception to this rule, but it's most likely a rare oddity, and not something produced in the last few decades. Maybe there's some aftermarket racing transmissions that don't follow this design layout/rule, but that would make them incompatible with quite a few vehicles that do follow the standard layout/rule.
