Default Carbon Fiber Reconditioning

I searched around HT for a minute and i cant find the thread about how to recondition your CF hood...I need to remove minor scratches and oxidation. anyone know what thread i am talking about?


It tell you how to buff it out and what products to use. It was a very useful thread and i lost it somehow

You must reapply clear coats on them, wet sand it using 2000grit and polish it to mirror finish. No other choice when the scratch's too deep...

If the scratches are not deep, you can use rubbing compound, orbital buffer will be nice to use here using wool pad. After that, use a soft foam pad and fine polishing liquid to finish it off.. Should come up like new.

nonono....lol there is a forum sticky thread somewhere on honda tech on what compounds work best and there is pics of before and after...it has a step by steps guide too
