SiR/Si springs in an EX/Si?

SiR/Si springs in an EX/Si?
Hey guys. I'm wondering if my SiR springs can go into my friend's Si (EX for US models)?
Also, how much of a drop would it give my friend's Si/Ex? About 1 inch?

I swapped both the springs and shocks. Guess I am getting used to driving around cars like Miatas and Protages.....they have a nice suspension setup.
