Not the greatest pic, but the black sharpie line on the mounting bracket is roughly the ammount of area that needs to be cut or shaved down. I made that line back when I had the GC upper mounts and was planning to cut the brackets.
I think that's just a reference picture. The thread asks about Ground Controls top hats, and that picture doesn't have them, but that does look like a good approximation of how much the GC top hat would stick up and interfere with the strut bar.

Funny, I was told that N1's do not have numbered adjustment. They are infinately adjustable between hard and bone jarring. I would like to see pics.

they give the shock approximately 1" extra of travel over the stock top hats, before they came out alot of people would add an extension to the top of the oem's for the extra travel
