Default Tein rear upper strut bar install

Hey guys,

Any of you guys have one of these? I ordered one and it does not fit. I popped the caps over the rear struts and there is about 2-3 inches between the interior panels and the struts, but the bar sits about a 1/2 inch above the brackets.

I called Tein and apparently my options are take out the interior panels, or cut holes in them. Am I being a moron and missing something obvious?

Thanks
Jason

you will either have to removed the inner panel or cut them...

that is what most of us do

Just like any other Strut Bar...you will have to cut the panel cover or remove it completely! The Oem ones comes with templates for you to cut.

You don't have to do either if you don't want to, just install the strut bar the best your can, and force the plastic down.

I dont see what the big deal is on removing the pieces....the strut looks bad ***, people won't notice them missing.

Not just the caps over the struts (if thats what you meant), the whole plastic sides or cutting into them to get it to fit

Thanks guys,

Does anybody have a list of rear strut bars that will not require me cutting the interior pieces. I am not crazy about operating on my interior panels.
The guy I bought it from says I can exchange it, but he does not carry the spoon one.

Thanks
Jason

I barely had to cut to fit my Spoon one. I haven't checked, but I think if I remove it and put the plastic strut tower covers back on, it should look like it isn't cut, or won't be very noticeable.
