Default Braille battery install and weights vs. OEM

It took 7 years, but the OEM Panasonic was finally near death. Upgraded to a fancy-pants Braille CF battery and weighed 'em both etc. The full update lives at the R's GRM page:

I charged it up a few times but that was becoming a losing battle. No harm in shedding some pounds, and I'd rather not have to plug the thing in all the time just to keep it running. Batteries are wear items.

Besides, now we've got a spare core to trade in for the core charge when some wayward project makes its way to our door.

I had that battery for years in two of my cars without any problems.

I gave mine away to a friend for the scrap dealer, along with the ITR cat.

Good to hear you're still around though Scott.

I'm liking the race battery. 6 lbs 6oz geezbus...

Wonder how it would hold up on a daily driven mild climate 1.7-1.8L.

I have a buddy club battery and it sucked. Kept loosing charge it was a loosing battle for a daily drive. Went back to Acura battery. It is still good if you charge it up but I don't think they are practile for DD. Maybe I just got a bad one but i think i've read about others with this problem.
