Default LCA- no search results

I was backing the bolt out of my front LCA where it attaches to the body mount, and the more i loosened it the wider the mounting bracket got. Is this normal? Oh, and the suspension was not under load.

very common problem and super annoying. (a little anti-seize on the bolts cures this problem)

the bushing is seized to the bolt. cut the bolt off on both ends and replace the bushing.

wait, but the bolt looks all the way unscrewed from the welded nut. so that means the bolt wasn't seized to the bushing. i'll try to pry some more and see if it will pop loose.

to me your description sounds like the bolt is loostening in the weld nut but the bushing is frozen to the bolt, which would spread the mounting points apart.
but maybe I'm not understanding what you mean.

pics are always good.

yeah, that is what is happening. it will still twist (but it's hard to) and it's spreading the bracket apart. is the only option to cut the bolt off?
