Ok this has been happening for a while now but since im gettin ready to put about 500 into just maintenance i thought i would a question about my thermostat to see if itts bad or not. For about the past year it seems like it takes my car forever to heat up. when its a cool night out and im going down the highway the gauge will be all the way cold, then if i stop at a light it warm up to where it should. But when i start to move again it will go back down. Now if it is really hot out side it will work fine. I dont understand what is going on.

Should i just replace the thermostat???

 

im having the exact same problem did it affect your idle at all

 

well im not really sure what you mean, how does yours idle? i mean it bounces sometimes because of my sterio pullin alot of amps and my dizzy rotor is loose so i think it miss fires somtimes. I dontt hink any of it is because the thermostat tho

 

i'd say go for it, seems like a likely culprit. Let us know if it works.
