You got a set designed for 96-00 Civics, and you have LCA's with bushings from a 92-95 Civic or 94-01 Integra. Either shave the bushings down 5mm on each side, or ask for the correct lower mounts for your application.

How likely would that be? What I meant to say was he is using a 92-95 Civic / 94-01 Integra LCA on his car. The OP didn't specify what car it is which is why I phrased it the way I did.

would shaving down the bushing have any negative effect to it?

I'm pretty sure that the coilovers are meant to fit eg/dc/ek.

The spacers are removable depending on the lca. I think the ek needs to have the spacers pushed out and removed and on eg/dc you keep them in. I can't remember exactly which is which but i know that those spacers can be removed or kept in.

Let me know if you need any help. I have them on my integra and my girl has them on her em1.

If you push the spacers out, the diameter of the holes will be bigger than the bolt passing through them.

you must put it on the outside or something then or flip it around or??? I remember something about the spacer's placement allowing use on both lcas. Trust me...my girl (em1) and i (dc4) have the exact same part. I'm really certain the box even had a eg/dc/ek sticker too.

unless i was on crack and dreamt it all up It WAS awhile ago

I should just go to the garage and take a look.

oooh that's a good point, you can probably just throw it on the other side. Then I guess the only concern would be if the bolt is long enough for you to still thread that nut on the end.

To Original Poster...i hope you didn't cut anything

Good point about the bolt length...but i don't remember. All i know is that i'm pretty certain that another shock brand also does the same thing. Instead of machining two completely different sized base of the shock...they just do the spacer thing too...i'm wanting to say koni or tokico; it's much more efficient/cost effective to use spacers instead of two completely different bases.

EM1 picture. Spacers are obviously on the insides (compare both pictures to see the silver spacers around the bolt). So i guess this means that the eg/dc bushings are thicker and ek are thinner?

DC picture (notice the silver spacer is on the outside)
