Default 91 prelude SI

hey i was wondering if a normal b series turbo manifold will bolt up to my b20a5 because with most of all the other b series they are all the same. also i want to know if there are any different transmissions that will bolt up to my motor besides the stock transmission? and can someone tell me if my transmission has an LSD. if anyone can help me with even one of these questions please reply.

No, other B-series manifolds will not fit. The prelude's b-series is different from the other ones, search and you will find a lot more info on this.

And no, you dont have LSD in your tranny. You can mod it to have one though, search here and on preludepower.com

No, they don't bolt right in. You need custom mounts foo

like Danny said above, go on preludepower.com and join... you wont be sorry.

its the largest 3rd gen community on the internet.

Theres writeups about the H22 swap there also... and no the h22 doesnt swap in directly, theres quite a bit of work envolved. Custom mounts, axles, wiring harnesses, lots or install time.... just read up about it on the site.

You keep an eye open in the forsale threads and you see the turbo manifold for our motors for sale every once in a while. Usually not too bad of a price either.

You shouldnt have problems with flipping the lude, theyre much better at staying on the road than civic's.

p.s. streetracing is not teh coolness.

yea i dont plan on street racing anymore ile go to the track but what i have read in some other blogs and sites is that my motor is not good to boost because they like to throw rods especially at high rpm which i dont know if thats true? but im puting a new motor in mine i bought it with a rod threw the block and i have a new b20a5 but now im working on getting a transmission because i was too hasty putting the transmission on the new motor and cracked the bell housing im pissed at myself for doing that ive done 2 clutches in civics and never had a problem but everyone makes mistakes so i would just like to know some more info about boosting these motors because i dont want to blow the motor since it will be my daily driver and only car and wont be able to afford a new motor if i blow it plus I cant afford to not have any transportation. well someone get back to me as soon as possible please and tell me what i should do I do boost which is what i realy want to do or possibly naturally asperated which I realy dont have the time or money to build the motor i want to get it together before winter so i can sell my 91 s10 custom sound truck with a custom cap on the bed with the whole back wall cut out so its one giant space for nothing but subs and its lowered 4 inches and wont do snow so well plus the heat was only made to heat the cab not a huge space 3 times that

1. theres alot more ppl on preludepower that have these questions about 3rd gens. than on here. Go there and search the forums. theres a bunch of turbo's 3rd's on there.

2. These motors are hard to get big n/a gains out of, theres just not a whole lot of aftermarket support for them.

3. they do blow rods, but no more than any other honda or any other car in general for that matter. if you build it right you can boost for a long while. It also depends how you drive it and how aggressive the boost is.

See the video below for proof of a quality built... 350hp. turbo'd 3rd gen prelude.
