Default Wrecked EG: deal of a lifetime?

A guy I haven't talked to in about 5 years IM'd me about a week ago when he saw my pf about my current DD (98 lude) anyways we caught up and he said he wrecked his hatch.

the damage is from the front to the radiator. (cracked radiator) it starts with no weird knocks or noises.. he said he'd give it to me the whole car for 500$

it's a JDM b16 (dunno what kind of b16 it is exactly cuz im an h series guy lol)
GSR tranny (forgot the tranny code for this too)
and all the interior is good to go.

Should I buy a shell and do this swap? ill prob be doing it w/ help of a friend and do it by the book.. i was thinking of swapping it into an EG, put some basic bolt-ons, get hondata and do a 3stage NOS setup on stock internals. (35/50/100 on switches)

anyone have any thoughts about this? i mean ill have everything to swap over.. and probably a stock b16 hatch for 1.5-2k. (i really wanna paint it ricer chrome pink. )
after nos/tune/bolt ons probably a bit over 3k?

(probably do a tune-up while the motor's out too unless if he tells me its been done) )

sounds like a good deal, but i would make sure the motor is in good condition. Do a Compression test and go through the entire car for any broken parts. Post some pics if you could.

for $500, that's not bad. look at it like this, you can always sell the motor and swap the h-series. radiator and support aren't expensive, and if you have the patience you can do it yourself.

hmm, well i have a week or 2 to decide, hes on vacation haha.. ill start looking for a shell.

swapping an h series in? nah- the point is to keep this as a cheap FUN project =P SPRAAAYYYYYYY haha i want to play with nos.. mostly on the track, 35shot for the streets JFF (just for fun)

i was thinking of EG or even a del sol..

does the 5spd parts for an EG work in an EK? or are the shiftercables diff lengths and incompatible? ill search 2m, off to bed.

oh and its not just the radiator support, its sub-frame/partly frame damaged cuz the rails crinkled i think
