probably was a 2.5 rs......i lost a car length to an 04 WRX with a bigger turbo on 18 psi...front mount intercooler...tuned by turboXS and all i had was a b16 swap with cams at that point (before i was turbo)...we went from a 20 mph roll he would have annihlated me from a launch but from a roll i was really unimpressed...not to mention i drove the car and was still unimpressed...nice cars though.

Wonder if he knew you were racing.

Wonder if you know this doesn't belong in this section.

Nice to sneak in a tech question at the end to try to qualify for tech.

I know he snuck tech in at the end of his post. Read the last sentence of my post again.

That means that I see he snuck in a tech question at the end, but largely his post is not tech at all. Oh, and his tech question... also largely ignored in this thread because there is no emphasis on it.

i ignore his question because he hasn't bothered to pull the Code.

i also ignore his first part because he's not smart enough to know the year/model/.

i've seen lightly modded civics/integras kill stock WRX's at englishtown rather consistently.

Sort of sad.

I was just simply stating that he had a tech question. Whether or not the post has any techical value whatsoever, it did not.

And I'm saying I had already said I saw his tech question. So no need to point it out to me again.

She knows that, simpleton. She was drawing emphasis to his half-assed attempt to make this thread more than an aborted street race story. Learn some reading comprehension.

I'm sorry to add to an off topic thread by now but I have had a WRX and with just a complete exhaust on I had no trouble taking turbo d's let alone lightly modded. I even destroyed my cousins CRX with an ITR engine. Although these were all at Cecil County Dragway and not from a roll. After I had it tuned and upgraded to an STi top mount, it was even better.

Sorry I loved that car and I never saw any of the things happening that you guys did.

I've personally seen poorly driven WRX's hit mid-15's in the quarter mile with relative frequency. You are not the archetype for drivers of the Impreza, so don't assume that a different car with a different motor and a different idiot behind the wheel will net the same results.

I don't agree with the street racing in the first place but put him on the track with aginst an AWD car. I do not assume anything, the people assuming would be the ones who know nothing of cars other than Hondas, or thier specific model. Of course I've seen bad drivers netting horrible 1/4 times in a WRX, but when someone in a stock SOHC has a bad time is ends up being 18+ seconds?

Nobody's arguing about a WRX Impreza being faster than a D-series Civic. What this thread seeks to suggest is that - possibly - a 2.5RS automatic Impreza will lose to a SOHC Civic from a 40mph roll because of shitty driving and/or the OP lying to make himself feel better about the fact that he'll never have a girlfriend.
