i have 171xxx k on my f22, but for future boost i am building my other f22 40-60k on it..i only spent $450..it won't hurt you. look into it. as a matter of fact..your mind will be more at ease if u swap then boost.

Couple things.
To evaluate the condition of your motor, do a compression and leak down check... also bring all maintance work up to date if it is not.
I would consider better management than an afc, read up on the afc hack and you will know why but basically in a nutshell the major concerns are how its skew the maps and has no timing control. If you want more information I can link you to the thread or explain more in detail when I have more time than I do now (at work).
As for boosting a high mileage engine... go for it, if its in good condition, you have quality management, and is tuned properly... you should have a decent increase in power and still maintain alot of reliability. And as a bonus, f series are dirt cheap in case you do run into problems.

Mileage is just a number. If the motor has been taken care of then there will be no issues as long as the turbo is done right. My Volvo 945 has 181K on it and I just maxed out the boost on my stock turbo
listen to tweakedcd5 also DO NOT use a afc...that be dumb...get a chipped p28 and have sombody tun it using crome...it be a wast to do all that work and then have it go boom boom boom...just my 2 cents
