Default FREE (synthetic) motor oil: Quaker, Valvoline

HT,

EDIT: The rebate at Pep Boys for the Mobil 1 is a $6 rebate off of 6 quarts, not $6 off each quart... MY BAD - that damn form was confusing. However, the deals at O' Rielly's is still good.

Got this cleared by George...

I'm a cheap bastard, so I keep my eyes on special deals. Ie:

***At O Reilly's...
FREE Q Advanced (Quaker Synthetic), Q Torque (Quaker Synthetics for your toy trucks ), Valvoline SYNPower, Valvoline Durablend (after rebate, 6 qt max on EACH)

http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/TopRebates.do

If you're a Mobil 1 user...

***At Pep Boys...
MOBIL 1 Synthetic motor ($6 rebate after you buy 6 quarts)

check your comprehension skills... "rebate" mentioned twice above ...dude, if it was instant, it would be waaaaay too good to be true and i wouldn't tell you guys and i'd go on a cross country tour to pick up all the oil

for really cheap bastards like you who can't even afford the tax or the time to wait for the rebate check to come back, you can be out less by paying for valvoline DURABLEND that's free after rebate at O'reilly's right now or you can't wait for later for mobil conventional oil that's free after rebate ... it'll just be a matter of time before there will be deals on conventional oil.

well, i'm so cheap, i jumbled the rebate form and juked myself into reading $6 rebate off each quart of Mobil 1 instead of WHAT IT REALLY IS: $6 rebate off 6 quarts TOTAL. that... is something totally reasonable (and not as good as the O' reilly's rebates... i guess that's one perk of living in the midwest as opposed to when i lived in socal lol)

you don't have the R any more, right? and i assume you don't have a car there... it seems like you're flying back and forth or whatever, but maybe i've just got your story all screwed up. like i said, when i was in japan, i was looking for those shops that sell used parts, but i couldn't locate them. i was in saitama where they had a bunch of local auto shops and drift cars like from Initial D (and even the freaking mountain roads ), but i couldn't locate those parts stores... you're going to have to get that name of the shop back to me as i didn't save it

ouch dude.... ever hear of an "instant" rebate? You did say rebate, but you didn't say what kind. So why do I need to check my skills? My bad I guess. I should be a mind reader.

I noticed that too, but if you look through the other rebates, there is one that covers $15 off Pennzoil Platinum, which is a nice deal.
