Distributor Rotor Position

Default Distributor Rotor Position

Just to verify the arrow in the picture is suppose to be pointed to spark plug wire number 1 correct? Or the other way around? When The distributor is installed that is.

Pretty sure. The metal part of the rotor should be facing the number 1 cylinder only when the no. 1 cylinder is on top dead center of the compression stroke.

i just replaced my a month ago and there is only one way to install the rotor.so i think u cant get it wrong.
