Default Burning oil in my b16a2?

Every 3k miles i have had to add 1-1 1/2 quarts of oil. Should i be burning this much oil? The motor only has 96k on it?

when you've done oil changes, have you noticed any coolant in your oil?

No way, man, no way should it burn that much. Does it leak? B-series engines are known to leak from the cam end seals (t-belt side), cam end plug (VTEC solenoid side) and even the VTEC solenoid gasket or distributor seal.

if you were burning oil, a compression test should tell you.

If there is oil at the add hole on the dipstick how much oil do you need to add roughly? Is it one quart? Because thats about how low it gets in 3k miles.

its 1 qt from the lower hole to the upper hole.

If you use your vtec a lot, it will burn more oil.

I would do a LEAKDOWN TEST to find out how much your oil rings are letting by and go from there.
