hey guys..i was coming home froma friends...eveeryhting was fine....then i had a random check engine light and my car starts bogging...and now im home and came to ask u guys....also i havnt changed my oil in 7k miles would that do it

when i started it back up no check light....oil is low..would that throw somehting

without knowing exactly what cause CEL, it would be hard to tell u if thats just the low oil pressure..run a CEL next time when u see it comes on and u can run it when the car is at idel and instead of gussing . u should oil change it anyway..

 

ok guys...when i jumped it..once i put it in on it blinked once....i dunno of that counts...then after it it blinked 3 short times...pause then blicked 3 times

 

I know my friend had an issue where his vtec wouldnt kick in when his oil was low. Dont know all the info on it but, i think the oil may be the culprit. Sounds very similar to the problem he had.

 

so would a bad map sensor cause the bogging?

Well, if you saw correctly, it blinks 3 for MAP sensor.

 

yea im just mad latly ive been getting horrible gas milage......anyone got any for sale or should i just buy brand new

 

buy one new..you could be buying a used one with more mileage than the one that went foul...
