Default pics of my project




this are pictures of my honda del sol after 5300 miles on a knocking rod. it finally blew. the engine was a d16a i am upgrading it to a b16a2. i am dropping the swap in next weekend. wish me luck

maybe if u changed the oil more frequently this wouldn't have happend, unless u just didn't give a expletive

this isn't being mean but i saw the parts spread over the grass and i just started laughing, i assume you'll clean them when you do a rebuild so w/e

Umm I really don't think he cares about parts being in the grass... he has a hole in his block, and he is swapping in a b16.

looks similar to a 1.4 dohc vvti corolla that i did in, i ended up with 3 hole in the head, 2 in the block, and 1 in the sump.

as for changing oil often sometimes you dont get any warning, or when you do its to late, or the oil pump just fails and then your fcuked either way.

btw it was not my car i killed....

swapping in a b16 is a big waste of money. There's no advantage from using a 1.6 liter SOHC vtec motor until after 4,500RPMS when the 160HP that the 1.8 liter puts out really high RPMS starts to make a difference..
