I have an 8 lb on my daily driver.

I love it, and would get another again in a second.

The only downside to it I find is starting on hills is a bit harder.

12 lb or stock.

I tried them all on my car, the stock lightened flywheel results in the best ET or any of them. The MPH stays the same on the runs but the 60 ft time dropped off even launching at 7800 rpms due to the lighter flywheels not having enough inertia.

Lost close to 3 full tenths with the 8 lb from stock. Car would bog at each shift on slicks. It was fine driving around on the street and throttle response was nice but for drag racing, not my cup of tea.

have you experienced any dropped times or 60ft with an 8lb flywheel? Or do you use it because it builds the revs faster?

on my 1.8 I did drop 60 foot from a 1.78 to 1.82
but on the 2L motor it back down to 1.7s
I think tq had alot to do with it .
and yes I use it to build up revs faster..

Not to be argumentative, but my 81.5 made retarded tq numbers. 154 ftlbs at the wheels.

The 60's with the normal flywheel stay about 1.70x with the light about 1.75x or so but even spraying the car out of the hole with the light one it just didn't work as well.

If I road raced the car, I would be all over them because of the throttle response but it just didn't work out well drag racing.

i've driven 8lbs and 12lbs. couldnt stand the 8lbs because it just made daily driving more of a hassle than its worth. I have zero complaints about the 12lbs.

I like my 7.5lb. I'd go lighter if I could. It along with a 6-puck and Omni CMC were fine to DD.

Not real good since I did the clutch at the same time, but here you go...

Slower 60. Quicker 1/8 and 1/4, but slower trap.

I rock the act prolite . The only time I did not like the light flywheels was on my turbo cars.
