Default All I need are cams to complete my LSVTEC build - need guidance!

Specs:

B18b block sleeved and bored to 84.5mm
Crank girdle with AEBS main studs
Balanced, chamfered, polished crank
ATI crank damper
Eagle rods with ARP bolts
CP 12.5:1 84.5mm pistons
Alaniz Competition VTEC head
Skunk2 valetrain
Type R valves
AEBS 68mm throttle
Edelbrock Performer X intake
BPI stack on 3" piping
Hytech replica header (considering SMSP)
2.5" custom mandrel piping into Magnaflow resonator and Vibrant muffler
RC 370cc injectors
Hondata s300

I have the following cams but will buy another set if these are not optimum

Skunk2 Stage 2
Skunk 2 Pro 1
Buddy Club Stage 5

I've been told my build would benefit from Buddy Club stage 4, Skunk2 Pro 2 or Brian Crower Stage 3.

Please tell me which cam I should use based on the following:

1 - Daily driver
2 - Weekend 1/4 mile drag

Thanks in advance for replying to my post

I think they only sell with a full valvetrain

Would like it to be a daily driver but since I just got it painted, It'll probably only see the street 2-3 times a week.

Pro 2's would probably make the most power in your setup but if you wanted to go "a little lighter on the cams" I'd use the pro 1's, they would also work really well. S2S2 (stock like primary lobes) and BC5's would work but I think the BC5's especially would be better in a B20 high revving motor. If you have all those cams in your posession you'd have the unique advantage of trying them all on the dyno and see which ones work best for you.

Pro2 or M24x. Both can easily be daily driven. Are you using the new Pro series VT or the first generation?

Hey Clean Rice, thanks for the input. I'm going to see if I get the specs for those cams and compare them

Here is a pic of car. I will add pics of the build as soon as I get my block back from being sleeved!

I beleive U can buy RM cams individually, that is not a problem!
I agree with Clean Rice. RM always get my vote... I would also put Endyn BumpStix on my short list.

my pro2's are kick *** so much torque at so little rpm's.

our setups are very similar besides im 81x89, the pro2's worked great. seamless vtec crossover, trq way down low, rips up top. they get my vote from experience!!

see sig

I've got the 1st gen valvetrain. Should I upgrade to the Pro series?

I'm kinda leaning towards the Pro 2's. Anyone waht to trade for my Pro 1's or BC 5's? They are both NIB

...also, you guys think I'll be ok with the Hytech replica or should I get an SMSP B19 header?

Why should I upgrade - what are the benefits...

How much for the Pro valetrain? Anyone need a Gen 1 valvetrain?

Help me decide between the M24x and the Pro2's

I've been daily driving my LSVTEC setup with Skunk2 Pro2+'s on the Skunk2 "Tuner" springs/retainers for over 20,000 miles and two years.

On top of that, I ran the very same valvetrain in my B16 with S2S1's for countless more miles beforehand.

The "tuner" springs are the PRO series? Can anyone answer my question on the benefits over the Gen1's?

The "Tuner's" are the originals, not the Pro Series.

No, but one day I would like to try it. Quite cheap for $525...

shoot if you have access to all three of those cams you wont go wrong with any of them. try all of them and let us know.
ive seen several stuff with BC Vs but not enough to make a fair comparison. personally id go with the pro 1s or the stage 2s. you will not go wrong with either. my new off the shelf personal favorite though is the pro 2s. i run them and i also have the pro 3s also which i have yet to try out.

Anyone compared Pro 2's against M24's on a 2.0 liter?
