just did a fuel filter on my car today and it ran fine all day and i just go out to move my car and the check engine light is on...any ideas what code it could be or why it would have turned on all of a sudden?

 

if its obd2 just take it to like auto zone and get um to hook up the scanner.. to c what da code is... that is the easiet thing to do.

 

yeah its obd2, i disconnected the battery to just get the light to go off and it stayed off

 

yeah but it takeds a few miles for the CEL to come back on bc when u unhook the battery the ecu resets its self.. but if it stays off good stuff if it comes back on just go get it scanned.. hope fully be some thing simple that u can fix urself

 

i do all the work my self i have my scanner at work i just dont have access to it until tuesday, i didnt know if anybody had any ideas on here

 

yeah thas one of the good things about obd2 just hook it up and it tells u whats wrong.. u primed it and every thing once u changed the filter rite

 

did you touch anything else besides the fuel filter? disconnect any sensors/touch any wiring(which you dont have to do when replacing the fuel filter)? could just be a coincidence and your 02 sensor went out.... if you're gonna be lazy and not search at least be as descriptive as possible please

if im gonna be lazy?? how the fuckk am i being lazy *** hole? i checked everything didnt disconnect anything else, its 12 in the morning and you expect me to go to autozone and get the code checked i was just asking if anybdoy ever had the same thing, until sunday came and i could get it checked
