Buy a trikle charger for $29 keep it on all winter it will keep the battery up to volts and wont over charge. Full tank of gas, change oil it helps to add gas additive aswell. Put the stands on a nice support so it doesnt warp the frame

yeah, id disconnect the battery before i put a trickle charger on that bitch. not sure about the full tank of gas thing or the additive either? doesnt sound right to me. id store it with minimal gas
You are better off with the gas in the tank. If you leave it 1/4 full, it will just build up condensation in your tank which can cause other problems. Your just parking it for the winter, so it isn't like the gas will be bad by spring/summer.
The charger isn't a bad idea, but it isn't necessary to charge it the whole time. A battery will lose its charge on its own just from temperature if you leave it long enough. I'd put a trickle charge on it for a day, around 2 - 3 times throughout the winter, just to be safe. The worst thing for a battery is to be not used.
Is your garage fully heated?

no the carage is not heated. Well its like this i will drive the car in the winter but not when there is now or salt on the road. Dont want any rust!
sometimes it snows and the snow is on the road for 2-3 weeks so during that time i want the car in the garage. When it turns nice one weekend and the snow is gone i will drive the car around. Either way i plan to start the car as often as i need to. Is it possible for your cylinders to rust? i read putting in some oil or this special lube will keep them oiled up during the winter. But i think that is if your storing it for a long time. I plan to store mine from around Mid Dec-Feb.

im in the same boat. i will be storing mine for the winter also... managers garage. changing oil, car cover, and jack stands i guess...
is it bad at all for the suspension to be extended fully for a long period??

If your just storing it for a few weeks at a time, I wouldn't worry about anything! Just keep gas in it to prevent moisture; something you should do anyways.
redciv- I'm no suspension professional, but aren't shocks and springs extended when they are on the shelf before you buy them?

if i take the battery out of the car and keep it at home and put it back in the car every 2 weeks or so to start the car will the battery discharge itsself?
ps. dont we have lifetime warrenty on the batteries anyway?

you do realize that salt isnt really gone until after 2-3 rains? so driving your car at all after the first time its down isnt really going to protect it from anything. id store it the entire winter if i was going to do it at all.

you know i like your idea. But with your idea i think i should put some fogging oil in the cylinders to prevent any rust from forming. is is that unnecessary?
as for the battery i think i will just hook it up to my other Honda from time to time so it wont loose its charge. think thats a good plan?

doesnt hurt to just start it up from time to time. since you are storing it in your garage. (make sure you open a door or something though carbonmonoxide poisoning = bad) lol
