The car handles magnificently stock.........turns on a dime......has an awesome engine sound......excellent reliability........best value for the price.........excellent re-sale value.......ever-growing aftermarket industry for the car.......loses very little power to the wheels......awesome interior........

..........yeah it's a real piece of crap.

the interior scuffs easily, the exterior paint will get scratched like no other, and coupe's c pillar can cause visibility issues.

BUT the car is great despite these issues. the si performs great... it likes to play and i like that.

sidenote: since you are buying an 06 si, make sure you get it checked for the recall. see more at https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2098910.

It's a nice car.. but It's an SI, I would never recommend to ANYONE to ever buy a used SI. You know that thing was thrown around since day one, ESPECIALLY if they knew they were trading it in soon.

I hate my Si. The engine rev's too high and fast. The motor sounds too orgasmic. It gets too many looks. The seats feel too comfortable.

Your asking a very general question to a very bias crowd, what do you REALLY want to know?

The power is great, more than enough for fun and when you need it. Even has good pull on the hills on 5th gear.

Handling is great. Handles will little roll, but does understeer a little bit. I take a mountain road over the coast and have a blast.

Looks sporty on the outside and upscale on the inside.

I have had little issue with mine, but some members have had some warranty work needed.

Don't really know what you want and everyone has a different opinion.

Go drive one for a while, take it on the freeway, hit a couple corners. You decided if you like it for yourself.

I hate when people make dumb statements like that. They're in the same price-bracket, how are they NOT comparable?

Did the OP get the SI or did he hold off?

its dumb because it does not matter what type of motor it is: n/a or f/i, if they are comparable in PRICE that is all that matters.

ps. i would never buy that fugly wagon mazda even if it had 400hp...

*****? I guess I'd rather be a ***** than someone who lacks any kind of simple intelligence. How are they comparable? Because they're nearly the same price ya moron.

Knock it off......both of you! Elohel is right.....comparing a MS3 to an Si is reasonable because they are in the same price range. Just because a car is more powerful doesn't always make it better than a weaker car.

And you can't rate performance on sheer power alone. And then there's reliability issues to. Go youtube videos on the MS3 and take a look at how violently the engine moves around in the bay. Would you want a car that snaps motor mounts like toothpicks??

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by wegotmorrison &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The mazda speed 3 is sweet. Its turbo and what not. haha. its fast. but its a turbo so not fair to compare it to the SI... </TD></TR></TABLE>

So then a GTI isn't comparable to an Si?? Just because it's turbo? Not true. The Si holds more value and overall performance than both of those cars. If you're gonna compare cars in the same price range you have to look at all aspects.......NOT JUST STOCK POWER!

And this thread is going off topic and there has already been a massive thread about this whole MS3 vs. Si deal which ended in a stalemate pretty much.

(Banninating the peasants!)
Anyway... why are people still looking for the fastest car in the $20k bracket? After all thats all he was looking for.
For the sake of sanity... Just buy the mazda, and take your discussions to their forum.
