CEL what are these codes?!?!?
ok i just finished fixing an idle problem by taking off my fitv and tightening it up. before this there were no codes what so ever, after, im getting CEL's. its 1 loonng blink, then to shorter blicks but still longger then the next 2 and the next six. so it goes like ths ".(................)_____(.........)__(.........)_ ____(...)(...)_____(...)(...)(...)(...)(...)(...). any ideas as to what this means? btw i tightened the fitv as much as possible.
p.s. its a 94 gsr with p72 ecu

WTF is going on?!? well im now assuming the codes i have are a 1, 22, 6, and 7! how can i get all these codes just fom fixing the fitv?!?! PLEASE HELP my car is now in safe mode and wont rev passed 6k and v-tec is not engaging!!! i didnt touch anything else during the process how can i reset my ECU?
Extremely difficult to tell you your code without visually seeing the light blink...
Can you make a video of it and post it up?
If not, it's pretty simple to read codes...
Whenever there's a LONG pause, that means it's a whole different code. If you get the same code again, it means you have gone through all the codes it's throwing, and it's just restarting so you can be sure you got the right codes. It will keep repeating until you turn off the car or fix it and reset the ECU.
Here's some examples:
(May not be codes, just using as reference)
Let's say you are throwing a code 4, 16, 21, 22
This is what you'll get:
-4 somewhat rapid blinks all the same length/distance apart, THEN LONG PAUSE
-1 long blink, then 6 shorter somewhat rapid blinks, again all the same length/distance apart, THEN LONG PAUSE
-2 long blinks, then 1 short somewhat rapid blink, THEN LONG PAUSE
-2 long blinks, then 2 short somewhat rapid blinks, THEN LONG PAUSE
Then it will start over with the first one
-4 somewhat rapid blinks all the same..........
But if you make a video, we will all be able to tell you exactly what code it's throwing.
