Default 81mm lsvtec with pro2 cams

Ok im in a little bit of a situation an im trying to figure out if i should use my pro2 cams for my 81.5 lsvtec build. I bought the cams because i was suppost to be getting a bare b20 block an that didnt go threw so now im just going to use my ls block. Ive been told they will work but dont expect too much from them on such a small motor. Its a 81.5mm ls block, semi ported b16 head, pro series valvetrain, hytech replica header, velocity stack, je 11:5.1 compression pistons, eagle rods, performer x manifold, Oh yeah the b16 head has been milled quite a bit i beleive its around 15 thousands. An im hoping i dont have any clearance issue's with valves hitting pistons with these cams if i do run them. Hoping to break 210whp it will be going in a integra RS daily driver.

itll run but ur gonna have alot of peak power. the pro1's would be a better choice for the 1.8L and the 11.5:1 comp ratio. the pro 1's will porobably net you more midrange but the pro 2's will net u more top end. it really depends on where u want your power band. in my opinion pro 2's are too big for the setup.

Yea kind of sucks about these, my compression is actually a bit higher since head has been milled but it wont help too much. I want to try an get the pro1's but not until i sell the pro2's first.

You're right to be concerned, they might be a little too much cam for this build, at least if you want some good mid-range.

You might as well sell them and get the 1's, no sence in tuning on the pro 2's just to go to a pro 1 and tune all over again.

You better make sure you clay your motor and check your clearances.

81.25x89 ls/v, p30's, p72 head, pro2's... the graph speaks for its self.

Pro2 are a little bit big for that motor but who says it won't make power?? I have had the pro2 in a 1.8 GSr Mild ported head w/ CTR pistons/Ebay tri-y header/skunk2 manifold/stock Tb and RC 440cc and the compression was maybe like 12:8.1-13:0.1 CR...made 205whp 142lbs of tq. SAE corrected... would of made more but we did not degree the cams in and was using a stock TB... Tuner says it would of saw 215-220whp easily if the cams were degree in properly and at least a 65-68mm TB...

Don't worry about the P2V clearence it'll clear... **** it clear on this motor with the GSR head being deck like 5 times and using CTR pistons.... but if u want to be on the safe side then check it, and while u are at it , u mind as well check the V2V and PTDH too......Good Luck....

my buddy has a similar setup, we swapped from bc3 cams to s2p2's and lost about 5hp below the bc3 peak (about 8800 rpms) but after the bc3 cams started falling off the skunk2's made alot better power. we turn the thing to 9800 rpms and the car seems to go faster than 9300 rpms with the bc3's... by seems faster i mean, cars that used to beat him by a car, he now beats them by a car

I got a set of pro1 for sale. Used for 4,000 on my ls-vtec. I just upgraded to pro2's and b20 block which is the reason i am selling. PM if interested.
