i crashed the front end on my 5th gen and wanted to order a jdm bumper without the amber signals on the sides. i have seen lots of jdm preludes that have the same usdm bumper but what makes it jdm is the shaved amber sidemarkers. but i have also seen some jdm bumpers with a clear fog light type thing in the place of the usdm amber sidemarker but is a little bigger. i was wonder what is the difference between the two jdm bumper , the shaved one and the one with the side fogs. and which came on what? here it ishttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW thanks

 

As far as I remmber the JDM has no side marker lights on the bumber. They are up higher and further back on the sheet metal.

 

The JDM bumpers do not have the sidemarkers on the bumper, they are just clean on the sides. JDM BB6's, like most JDM cars, have smaller amber sidemarkers high up on the front fenders. As far as the clear square lights on that bumper, I have not seen those before, my guess is that they are either a Honda Access option or the bumper comes off of some obscure EDM Lude, rather than an actual JDM model. That particular bumper also comes with the Type-S front lip and foglights, though I still don't see how they can charge $500 for it...

 

yea i did more searching and found thats its an accesory/optional. but i kinda of like it. where can i get a jdm bumper for cheaper than that. becuase thats all ive found. thanks

 

you could also get a usdm bumper and just shave the sidemarker part

 

the white light on the bumper in the link...is when you turn on your blinker, it lights up where you are turning. baller if you ask me.

 

get the one without the turning light cuse a bumper with no side markers is hot

 

Good luck trying to find an authentic JDM bb6 front bumper went through hell and back all over the net and all kinds of body shops trying to find one. In the end I elected to just shave my front turn signals turned out really well and was a cheaper operation. Stanley side-markers RULE!
