Turboing D16z - prep parts list for pre turbo - opinions?
Ok, I'm approaching this from a n00b status, so bear that in mind.
Auto: 1995 Civic Del Sol Si, 110k, 5 spd, D16z.
Intentions: 210-220 whp, no track/drag, peppy weekend driver, del sol meets, etc. Needs to pass emissions in Arizona, and I'd like to keep the a/c and ps.
I've been reading faqs/old posts/how tos on several different sites, forums, and this is the list I've put together so far for getting the car ready to add the turbo kit. I'd like some feedback to see if I'm on the right track, and what I'm missing from the list.
I haven't decided on a full turbo setup yet (However I am leaning towards the greddy kit listed at racingworks.com + intercooler, controller and bov), so this is the list I have so far:
BRAKES
Neuspeed stainless steel brake lines
Brembro Slotted Rotors (F&R)
EBC Greenstuff Brake Pads
SUSPENSION
KYB Agx Shocks
Eibach Pro lowering springs (Aiming for 1.5" drop or thereabouts)
Tanabe front strut tower bar
Tanabe rear strut tower bar
Tanabe front underbrace
RIMS/TIRES
15" most likely if not, no bigger than 16", haven't decided on a rim/tire combo yet.
DRIVETRAIN/FUEL SYSTEM
ACT HDSS Heavy Duty street clutch
AEM Fuel Regulator
AEM Fuel Rail (Possibly, mostly for bling
)
EXHAUST
Tanabe Hyper Medallion (Don't want a loud exhaust)
That's it! Anything else I'm not thinking of? (I left off all visual mods/plans for the sake of brevity)

dont need the fuel rail or the regulator.
need compression/leakdown test, engine management, and boost gauge.

bushings bushings bushings. It's about time for em, so watch em closely.
As for the fuel rail, you really don't need to change out a honda's fuel rail untill around 400HP; and at that rate, we normally just mill out the stock one a little ore than stock.
As for the greddy setup: I know the E-Manage greddy kits are not CARB approved, so I am not sure about your state.

IF I do the fuel rail, it would be the visual factor as stated. I planned on doing the compression test (Just forgot to put it in there), and the engine management and boost gauge would be when the turbo goes in. This is just the prep part, so that all I have left once these are done is have the turbo put in and tuned and redoing the interior, etc.
Thanks!

I would say if its a DD less money on expensive braking system and suspension and more into fuel management, turbo prep and Turbo, Im not saying dont buy suspension and brakes but I wouldnt shoot for top of the line unless your taking it to the track.,

Not really a DD, more of a semi DD and weekender. I *might* do some track just to try it out once or twice, we'll see. I'm not going top of the line (most of the things I listed are not the cheapest, but not the top end either), but I do want a tighter, better suspension, and a car that can handle the extra hp well. I make a pretty good living, so I have the budget for this (a little over 3k saved up already, if my wife hadn't crashed her car, I'd have gotten a different car for a DD already and been ready to start.)
With other suggestions I've added shifter bushings, upgraded motor mounts and a wideband controller to the turbo upgrade phase.

The early indications are hondata. Almost universally when I read about turbos, people are saying hondata is good. That's something I'll talk about with the shop that I'm anticipating will install it.
