yes it'll swap over if the ecu is also obd2. but dont do it. the fuel and timing maps and vtec are all wrong for what a b16 needs.

Just Chip it. Use the Rom map from the stock ecu in your 2000 si and lower the vtec cross over. to where you want it.

actually no it wouldn't even plug up unless it is from a 00-01 gs-r and those have the immmobilizer so it wouldn't run unless you cut that chip out

no you just have to switch out the fuel pump relay wires which would be a-15 and a-16 just switch the two wires

the gsr and the si's or for that matter all b series vtec motors have the same vtec engagement.. UNLESS the ecu has been chipped and it has been moved..

every b series motor vtec engages from 5500-5800 depending on load tps and etc.

people get this mixed up.. the reason the gsr sounds like it engages vtec at a lower rpm is because of the secondary butterflies opening up wich i think they open up anywhere from 4500-5000rpm

just keep the stock ecu or convert to obd1 and chip.. or hell you can even go get a **** piggyback and do whatever you like with that like a vafc or anything else

good luck

agreed.

OP: The GSR ECU will work as long as it was from a 99 GSR. The 99-00 Si uses OBD2B. The 99-01 GSR also uses OBD2B. However, the 00-01 GSR uses an immobilizer. Unless you have the immobilizer or can ....immobilize the immobilizer, you're not going to start the car.

The GSR runs a little richer. The VTEC engagement is different. The intake manifold design is different. So you will have wack fuel tables.

Personally, I hate where the GSR kicks into VTEC. You cant hear it....and it doesn't really make much power down low like that.

You wont make any more power just switching the VTEC point down like that. There's a reason why it kicks in at 6k. Think about the B16A power band. It's just going to make the low end worse if VTEC kicks in at 4500.

YES, THANK YOU.

It won't plug up, don't do it.

And it has nothing to do with the immobilizer, it has to do with a rice factor being through the roof.

You put a GSR ECU in there, it's NOT the same as a P2P ECU, you're fuel tables are gonna be hella higher, so you're gonna be running rich, you'll be throwing CEL's for the IAB's, and god knows how many other ones for running too rich, etc. etc. etc.

ECU =/= VTEC engagement point - there's a lot more MORE IMPORTANT things in there. Keep your B16 ECU.

You like the GSR's crossover? Too bad - b/c on a B16, the B16's crossover is more efficient (power, speed). The GSR's crossover is set for.....you guessed it, the GSR. Especially if your motor's stock, you're NOT gonna get anywhere by trying to tune your VTEC engagement point.

nope all 99 Integras are obd2a they switched to obd2b in 00, the Civic changed to obd2b in 99. 96-99 Integra ecu won't plug up to a 99-00 Si or 00-01 Integra
