Default i Need Help Guys

hey guys im having trouble with my turbo civic this is whats going on the car was starting to hesitate on crusing speed and i noticed the AEM gauge going all the way to - - - on the gauge so i checked EVERYTHING boost leak lines everything and everything is ok then i changed the spark plugs i installed NGK the ones that are 2' cooler and gapped them to .25 then the problem still there how ever when the car is under boost it pulls good and the AEM gauge is in 12-14 on the gauge here is a pic of what it looks like. the car sputters when crusing and i have 45 psi fuel.

If you have the O2 sensor enabled in the tune without having the O2 hooked up to the ECU the computer will keep pulling fuel until the car stutters. If you coast down long enough in gear it will likely throw an O2 code.

If the O2 is enabled and you are running an O2 (which I'm guessing you are, and running the AEM in conjunction) then you need a new O2 sensor

I had something similar...though not quite as bad. Turned out I had a few intake manifold bolts loose. They weren't really that loose, but it sure did expletive up the way it drove. I have since double nutted everything that I can.

yea if it does that means its either running LEAN as hell or either ur wideband sensor is fucked but since you said it is sputtering too then ur running really lean. under boost it shouldn't be any higher than 12.0

same problem before, **** would go from lean to rich, i tried everything u can think of, so i just went back to the tuner and retuned it, one thing he changed was disabling the o2 sensor

I'm not familiar with the AEM gauge, but wouldn't it also do this if it was running to rich? I know my m300 will display rich or lean if you go to far in either direction.

To the OP

Which way are your readings going before it shows the line? Mine would go pig rich and stumble when the nuts were loose. It wasn't enough to really show much difference on the boost gauge or my data logger...just a few tenths of a psi, but man did it run like ****. I imagine if the nuts had been looser or more of them had been loose, I would have seen a more drastic drop in psi, resulting in worse stumbling.

yea it does but if you notice its in the lean (red) section. if it was rich it would be in the green section.

Oh yeah, I see that now. Probably would have caught it earlier if I new how the gauge worked. Thanks!
