Alarm install in southwestern ohio
Does anyone know of a good place to get a stealth alarm installed in southwestern ohio?
I am also looking for a place that can fix some crappy wiring done by the previous owner for the sound system he took out.

read it, I doubt as a highschool student I am going to be able to find enough people near me willing to drop $800 on a alarm system and installation, that is why i am trying to find a shop. but thanks.
Besides myself, wrx-killer..., and that guy that can do them in SF (I forget who), I don't know of anyone in the world that is willing/able do a stealth install. Not that there aren't people out there, just that we don't know of them.

I think it is... I'm 28 and I'm contemplating doing it myself because, as the guru SH says, not many people are willing to do them and I can't find enough people here who want them.
It does appear daunting, and believe me, I've read and re-read SH's posts and tutorials and I still don't completely understand it all. My advice is to get all the information you can and keep going over it until you understand everything. I imagine SH will be able to help you with questions you might have, I know he has helped me.
Just know that it won't be easy, fast or cheap but as long as you expect it to take many hours to a few days and you take your time, I think you'll be happy with the result.
My problem is there's already an alarm in my car and I'm afraid it is going to be a huge mess taking out the old stuff and putting in the new stuff. I haven't looked under my dashboard yet... for fear of what I might find.

Are you mechanically inclined?
Do you have the tools you will need to remove the dash from your car?
Do you have a shop/repair manual for your car, [Haynes]?
Do you have the tools to install an alarm?
Do you have a soldering gun/station and know how to solder?
Do you have a multimeter and know how to use it?
Do you have a shop/garage to do the work in?
Can you, are you prepared to, give up the use of the car for a week?
If the answer to all the above is yes, then yes, it is something you could do yourself.
Myself, and I am sure others, will be willing to give you all the help you need, and we can over the Internet.
I would ask one thing though, have a good digital camera, so you can take and download pix of problems and progress.
