http://www.clifford.com has install guides.

I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself unless you know a lot about eletrical **** or have done one before.

I finally found a place that would do my remote start. Cost me $120, but oh well. I'd rather have the warranty.

If you are able to install a radio in your car....... you can install an alarm.

The only thing you would need is the wire diagram to your car.....From there it should be easy.

For example If you have the list for a car:
'94 integra

door trigger (color of wire) (location) (Polarity)
parking lights (color of wire) (location) (polarity)
ignition .............................................
2nd ignition ........................................
starter wire .........................................

It tells you where the wire is.... the color of it..... and if it is positive trigger or negitive trigger...... (It has more wires listed this is just an example)It also tells you the color of the Tach wire which you would need to use for the remote starter. (Most of you know where that is).

It is a big help when you have the right tools and resources.

LOL....no an alarm is no way near as simple as installing a radio. Radio takes 30 mintues TOPS, alarms take way longer and are a lot more complicated. You put a test light to the wrong wire, BOOM there goes an air bag. $800 mistake.

I guess it also depends on the type of alarm. Some are more complex then others.
