Default Too much RICE BURNER sound...!!

Ok, so before my 2.5" cat back, my car sounded ****** nice and hollow!!!I only had a DC Sports 4-1 Racing Header, stock piping, and a 3" Stainless Steel Muffler...my 97 Civic Ex Sounded beautifully then. I bought a 2.5" Cat Back System that came with a 4.5" Muffler...it sounded like ****...so I had the silencer plasma cutted. It sounded slightly better but not the dramatic difference I was expecting. Would you guys recommend me get my stock piping back...just keep the 4.5" muffler and the DC Sports header?(oh and right now I dont have a catalyc converter)... AND TOTALLY OFF THE SUBJECT BUT ANYONE INTERESTED IN BUYING AN APEXi VAFC2?

might be the fact that your muffler is 4.5". with a big tip like that it would make a loud *** rice burner sound. having no cat dont help either but expletive cats who needs them anyways

Resonator. you can try a 12" where the cat should be and see if it is enough. If not then go with an 18". You might look into a high flow cat.

It is the combo of no cat and a small resonator if any.

maybe switch to a more reasonable muffler, something like a Apex'i World Sport 2.
