Why must I turn my wheel so much?!
I recently bought a 91 civic hatch and noticed that the steering is soo sluggish. Maybe it's because I am used to driving my 2002 civic everyday for the past 3 years, but a 1/4 turn in the 2002 = 3/4 of a turn in the 91.
I mean, does my car have a problem(if so what could it be..???) or was the car just made like that and everyone here has the same thing.

maybe your power steerings not working right or you may not have power steering . plus different vehicles use different steering box's (gearing) .
i like not having power steering personaly.

grog called it, you have different steering ratios and no power steering.
You can get a different ratio rack from the HF crx and quaife makes one.

Stop turning and just keep going straight. j/k, going from convienience to direct feel with no PS and diff ratios.
Like mentioned above, go Quaife or change rack. Quaife is easier.

so you people are saying that i have no power steering? if thats the case, why is it still easy to turn the car from a dead stop. i mean, from my experience, a car with no power steering is hella hard to turn. in my case, the wheel is easy to turn, just takes more of a turn than i am used to.
anyways its a 91 civic cx hatch bone stock. so this is normal? and i ask because i talked to a friend (mechanic) of mine and he said that its most probably that my rack is no good

Your friend apparently has no experience with Hondas.
If your hatchback has a manual transmission, then you do not have power steering.
It's easy to turn because the car is lightweight and the rack ratio is slow for better mechanical advantage, among other reasons that I won't delve into here.
The downside of the slow ratio is that the steering wheel must be turned more to achieve the same steering angle.
