Default 97-98 shifter vs. 00-01 shifter question

I noticed the 97-98 ITR shifters are black and the 00-01 ITR's have a metal shifter. I am thinking of changing my shift **** to a titanium one but I would probably want to change my shifter to the metal one as well since I have a 98.

Is it hard to change, and is the shifter part itself expensive? Any help is appreciated.

$193.00 knock yourself out.

Let me know if you want to get rid of your original. The threads on mine are faded and coming undone.

He's talking about part #2 on that list, the actual shifter itself, not the ****.
