Default NSX cage work

I already posted this in the NSX forum, but I spend more time in here...thought id share. The pics are kinda crappy, but I think they speak for themselves...more progress has been made today, but I dont have any more pics yet, but I will update

hes gonna be running ECHC (NASA) and we are building it so it will comply with SCCA rules as well with a few minor changes if he wants

well theres a firewall there...but i assume youre referring to the area where a window used to be? there will be a lexan window there once its done

thanks, its the first cage ive done in two years, so its gone a little slower than i expected

bolted with sandwiched 1/4" plates on the four legs in the cabin, and bolted via plates to the strut towers in the front and rear

its one piece

the rx8 just had all new rear suspension added...the body work comes off in sections

Are you placing a radiator on top of the trunk? I dont see this working well.

haha nah, its just lying there...it goes in the front in the stock location, i just had to do some work up there and we are re-routing the radiator hoses in the front

yeah probably wouldnt work well, but i suppose it could be done

but we dont want to put anymore weight back there than needed, its somewhere in the range of 65% rear/35% front weight distribution stock iirc

I meant the Rx8. I thought there was a team that ran a black and red RX8 last year up untill mid-ohio, in GAC

One of the drivers did a blog thing on the net.

maybe so, its been sitting since before i started working there, i know it ran the rolex series
