I recently purchased a used 97 SE Accord, and I'm having some kind of issue with the tranny. When I put the car in drive you can feel the engine shift slightly like it's going into gear. But then about a second later, the engine shifts even more. When this second movement happens, it's bottoming out the rear motor mount next to the firewall. I changed all the mounts, but this didn't help. The tranny never slips, and it shifts pretty hard in between gears. I haven't changed the fluid yet, because I thought I might create a bigger problem if I did.

Any ideas what my problem might be?????

change the fluid and see what happens. its not going to hurt if you drain and refill
