Default b20 vtec

How much could i do a 20vtec build for. I have a b16a2 already so i dont need to buy a head or tranny so that cuts down my expenses a bit.
This is my list of what I No that I need:
b20b long block
ls/vtec kit
high comp pstions
water pumpe
head gasket
balance bottom end

That is my list so far. And i was just wondering how much I could do it for. I waass going to throw some ctr's in my b16 but then i decided. I need soem tourqe. Ive looked at that "how to build a reliable vtec thread, but I was just wondering if i could get a real world experiense for how much it would cost. i got abotu 2500-3000 to spend or less. I want to do it with out spending a super amount of money but still have it reiable for a daily driver. Thanks for your time

You could run RS Machine Pistons to help cut down on cost. I plan on doing the same as soon as I find a damn block.

with 3000 u can definitly build a decent b20/vtec. get some rs machine pistons, and arp rod bolts. balance the bottom end. throw some springs, retainers, and cams in it and ur looking at power above 200whp. run crome and get a tune and ur done.

**** you could get a stock b20 block and get a ITR head with ITR cams and a SMSP header and that should be dancing around 200whp depending on tuner and how high you are from sea level (it affects the air you motor takes in).

Thats the gay thing i think im at 2000ish feet above sea level. So i wont make as much power as you guys but i just want to get a good set up that is faster than mine right now. Everybody turbos there hondas here just becuase of this. I want to step out of the box and not have to worry about all that little turbo stuff. I want to make around 180-190whp. I would be very happy with this. I justw ant a faster daily driver. Also what mounts would you I need to swap it into my EG. It already has a b16 in it and ya ya im just confused int hat aspecct as well.
