Default b20 vtec question

i just recently got a 93 hatch and i wanted to go with the b20 vtec. if i got the b20b block and a gsr head, would i need to change anything on the block. would i need new axles or sleeves or anything like that? Or would it just be easier to go with the ls/vtec. i dont have much money, so anyone of those would work.

Same thing as LS/VTEC, only difference in the changeover would be to get a different head gasket to accommodate the larger 84mm bore.

you need a vtec water pump and oil pump and vtec timing belt (gsr). the water and oil pump can be b16 or gsr or type r. you dont need to get a the golden eagle converison kit. you can just go to your local shop and get a oil line and some fitting and your set.. also your gonna need a knock sensor just to be safe

b20/ls vtec is the same. When you plan to do this u need to change the water pump, timing belt and oil pump to gsr or type R. Then golden eagle makes a good vtec conversion kit that is simple to use. If you go b20 the sleeves are thin so it would be a good idea to use a sleeve brace, but thats optional

obd 2 oil pumps are all the same.. if you have an older ls block then change it you need the same timing belt as waterpump... gsr belt, gsr pump, .. or... type r belt, type r pump

And do yourself a favour and buy a goldeneagle, or a fast turbo ls vtec kit
you need alot more than just steel braided line and fittings, you need stepped dowl pins, and you have to block off a port on the head.. all things included in the kit
