Default Making 300 WHP w/ T3

hey everyone i am looking into turboing my JDM B16 next summer. I want to aim for 300 whp on a stock bottom end and 8psi of boost. It is my DD EJ1 and i want it to be reliable. I plan on putting stage 2 cams, a aftermarket IM &TB, fuel rail, and cam gears. at i want a T3 turbo at 8psi and hope to make 300 WHP. is this a reliable and realistic setup? i also was aiming for the turbo to be full spooled by 3800 to 4000 rpm. thanks for for comments and suggestions. i am new to FI and have only dealt with NA builds so i am looking to learn so please dont just burn me and not help me out.
thanks

i do not believe you will make 300 on 8psi. honestly, it shouldn't matter what PSI you run just depends on the tune, its horsepower that kills the motor. that t3 will spool super fast but will taper off in boost in your upper RPM range. get a t3/t04e 50 or 57 trim turbo and you'll be set for your power goal.

on 8psi id say you'd make 215-240whp.

there are a lot of turbos out there that will meet your goal, but none of them are going to spool fast AND make 300whp on 8psi. Like was previously stated, it doesn't matter what psi you run to make the power you want because its power that breaks parts.

If you want a fast spooling little turbo that still makes good power up top, look into the T3/T04 50 trim, T3 Super 60, and if budget allows, the GT28rs

dont bother, save the money on those parts and invest it elsewhere.

with the money he saves from not buying the parts listed above he can get a gt28rs lol.

8psi wont really get you 300whp without a turbo thats way too big for your application. and like everyone said here 8psi means jack squat.

my friend's old b16a (1st gen) made 250whp @9psi on an old 60trim T3, stg1 .63ar exhaust - but that was also an open DP. With cams and a stg3 turbine on that same turbo, 300whp may be attainable with 10-11psi. Don't be concerned with a specific boost level though (unless its your MAP sensor limiting you), only with power output. A smaller turbo at higher boost will just lead to a little more reversion and slightly higher IAT's - nothing that a little extra ignition retard could fix.
