Valve noise
Hey,
Im having a problem with my 98 accord V6, its making quite a loud noise from the head and the check engine light is on showing code 74. Code 74 is cylinder #4 misfire. I have changed the plugs, done a valve job and still the problem exists. The engine has somewhat of a lumpy idle but can still maintain and does not apear to be underpowered.
Do you think an engine with a bent or sticky valve would be making noise with hardly any power fall off or is that normal for that kind of problem. What about injectors, could they be a part of the problem?

i bent valve ...you would notice tremendous amounts of power loss. Not to mention a loud as ticking/banging. Spark plug failure? Could be a possibility. Try pulling the injectors see if the nozzle is blocked or plugged up with carbon.
Hey man thanks for the reply. My engine does not feel like its lost alot of power and definetly does not feel like its a steady miss. I just pulled the injector clip of the number 4 injector as that is the cylinder that I believe is makiing all the racket and the engine would barely idle so if it still is firing wouldnt that mean that the valve is not bent or screwed up to the point that a bent valve should be.
I think I am going to pull the head anyway.//
