Car started to die at idle..

Car started to die at idle..
I know this isnt a mitsubishi forum, but I figured since Im on here enough and you guys are pro with cars. You could help me out.
95 mitsu galant.
Well, after my friend raced a chevy he brought up to 95mph. No problems. But after we came to a light and stopped. It died. And countinued to die unless we were moving.
What is the problem with this shiiiiet?
