No VTEC when fully warmed up
1989 CRX HF B18C
ECU 37820-P28-A52
94 GSR LSD
OBD1
High flow Cat w/ Greddy catback
No CEL codes
Heres the problem. As soon as the stock temp guage starts to move up from zero, VTEC works fine. After the engine warms up, to where the stock temp guage is a bit less than level, VTEC quits working. Water temp sensor reads >1 ohm when warmed up. I haven't checked the oil pressure but I am wondering if it could be the thermostat? - Thanks for any help.

i'd check that first. oil level, oil age, and the filter/screens in the vtec solenoid.

I went and tried to test the oil pressure and my old guage was totally clogged and frozen.
But... the oil level looked fine, oil looked clean, oil pan scraped but not dented, VTEC selonid screen was clean.
I will get another guage tomorrow and post the results. Thanks for the help.
