Fuel Rail B18C1...what the heck is that thing on the left of it?
Still haven't done the swap yet...still waiting for parts. Anyhow, there is something missing on the fuel rail on the engine, B18C1. I could tell because there's any empty hole there w/threads. I know it's plastic and off white. Could someone tell me what it is so I can buy it before that stops or slows down the completion of this swap.
TIA!!
TIA!!
That is basically a pressure 'shock absorber' Kinda like the things they install on the plumbing in houses to keep the pipes from knocking when you turn on a faucet. My understanding of its function is that it smoothes out the pressure pulses from the injectors opening and closing which helps the fuel pump. Is it really necessary? I don't know. I have seen cars without them and I haven't heard anything negative about that but then again Honda doesn't do anything without a good reason and I trust their judgement.

Make sure you have a fiel line coming off the fuel rail. My motor from HMOL didnt come w/ one and that is were the line hooks up tothe rail. If not, your stock line should work, just take it off your old motor.
