Hey guys, I know this was posted previously, but I couldn't find the thread . I have an 88 crx hf with b18c, I'm using the HCP kit with adjustable linkage, and the shifter is sloppy as hell. I can put it in first, and it has just as much play as it would in neutral.

I know someone had this problem before, just wondering what the fix was. I can go through all the gears, but it is too damn sloppy. Thanks in advance guys.

 

my short shifter is likk that also. but i ended breaking my short shifter in half.

 

check the linkage support bar - the one that bolts to the tranny. mine came loose and shifting was a pain...

The linkage is tight, and it's on correctly, the shifter itself is just sloppy as hell. I have to find a way to fix this, because it will drive me crazy.

 

if the HCP ones are the type that are adjustable, then i seem to recall someone putting lock-tite or whatever on the threads to keep it from moving and adjusting. i dont know if this is 100% correct but i do remember hearing something about this on this board.
