I don't really know about this. Unless I see actual tests for our cars then I'll believe this. Yes I've had them on many hondas going back to 1987. On my most current FA5 it didn't seem to do anything. The under car chassis braces work on this generation car.
I don't see them on the type r or type rr or even the stripped down type r made for racing.
In no way am I bashing this product, I'd like to see some real world results.

What works for one car doesn't necessarily work on another. Each car is designed differently. Until some testing is done or we see/hear it from the track guys, it can't be assumed a strut bar does something.

yea i understand that given how our cars are designed it may or may not do any thing. did you guys see the test they did with the zip ties on the coilover shaft ?
is would be cool if someone that had a strut tower bar did this and took some readings and let us know

So a video showing one car made by a company that makes a lot of money by selling its own strut tower bars is conclusive proof that STBs are needed on every car?
Wow... I wish advertising was always that easy...

i know for a fact that it dont work becuase i got it, our car is already stiff soo with strut brace it only make our car push off the conner, i got better time without it, now if u wanna make the si faster in the conner you need LX civic front sway bar cuzz it smaller then the si, the si front sway bar is too big and it will make u push off the conner a lil bit, i know people that running LX front sway bar on there SI for autocrossing and track.

yeah i recently discovered the Si is running 28mm/17mm stock front/rear sways. The progress sway bar upgrade on the rear to 22mm was nice though. I'm not sure I'd drop the front size much though.
The reason it helps alot on the s13, s14 and s15 Silvias is because they are very flaccid cars. I had a stock s13 hatchback and the cowl shake going over bumps was unbelievable!! On a stiffer car like the Si its not going to do much of anything.
I am talking about torsional and bending rigidity of the actual unibody, not the stiffness of springs or shocks.

unless you road race or possibly auto-x, i don't see the use on our cars for daily driving, other than looking pretty.
though, it's definitely not going to hurt anything, save possibly your wallet. i'd say honda would not have equipped many past upper-tier models with strut tower tie bars if they were not worth something, however, again, it's a matter of whether or not the car is really used for driving that warrants such modifications of minutea. the best bet is to look at the mugen or "R" version of the car. if it has it, then most likely they found that it does 'something'. the R version of the sedan does not use any bracing, in fact, it mentions specifically in the japanese fact book for the car that it doesn't (translated, of course)- Because of that the former way the substantial reinforcement such as addition of various bars completely it does not need. The main point with that though is that the chassis itself is modified, so, this car from day one was meant to be an "R". that is when you take a look at a conversion car, such as the Mugen, which started out as the same car you or I have. I do not have engine shots of this vehicle, but i'd venture to guess it still doesn't have one considering the inherent geometry and design of our chassis.

You sir, are an idiot.

From what I have heard, a strut tower bar on the ne si's actually hinders performance. It actually adds to the understeer. The base of the windshield acts as a strut tower bar. Adding a strut tower bar would be kind of redundant...
